Flipboard Alternatives

Flipboard lets you stay up to date with the latest news.

This is a task that many web readers are well positioned for.

With a web reader, you can subscribe to specific news sources, blogs, Bluesky accounts, Mastodon accounts, and other content.

(Note: Web readers don't usually show content by default like Flipboard; you need to subscribe to sites you like first.)

There are several web readers you can use in addition to or instead of Flipboard, including:

Flipboard vs. Artemis

The best way to find the right web reader for you is to experiment with different tools and see which one you like!

Below shows the home pages of the Flipboard and Artemis interfaces, side by side:

Artemis is designed to help you keep your focus. You only see post titles and author names. To see full posts, you can click on a post. This lets you experience a web site as designed by the site author.

For YouTube feeds, Artemis creates a custom page using an iframe and the nocookie version of YouTube, so you can get a more focused viewing experience.

Artemis is free and runs on the web.

Artemis can be installed as an app, too.
